Privacy Policy
Last updated June 16, 2026
The short version: we collect what we need to run the product, we do not sell your data, and you can take it or delete it anytime. The detail is below.
01 What we collect
- Account details. Your email, and a name if you give one. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic Google profile (your name) so we can create and open your account.
- What you log. The firms, amounts, dates and notes you enter. This is the core of the product and it stays private to you.
- Payment details. If you buy a plan, Paddle handles the card. We see the plan and a receipt, not the full card number.
- Device basics. Things your browser sends, like rough location from your IP and the kind of device, used for security and to keep the site working.
When you are signed in, your ledger is saved in our database, hosted in the United States, so you can reach it from any device. A copy can also live in your browser so the app stays fast. In plain terms, what we hold about you is your email, an optional name, your ledger entries, and a payment receipt if you bought a plan. You can export your ledger as a CSV from Settings, delete any entry, and delete your whole account from Settings at any time.
Tradacy's use of information received from Google sign-in follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use that information only to create and sign you into your account. We never sell it, and we never use it for advertising.
02 Why we collect it
To run your account, save your ledger, take payment, answer support, keep the service secure, and meet legal duties. Nothing else.
04 Cookies
We use only the cookies and local storage needed to log you in and remember your settings, like your theme. For traffic, we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel) that counts page views without tracking you across the web. We do not run third party ad trackers. Our basis for these basics is providing the service you signed up for and our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and working.
05 How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. When you delete it, your ledger goes right away and clears from our backups within 90 days. We keep the minimum needed for legal and accounting records, like a payment receipt, for as long as the law requires.
06 Your choices
- See and export everything you logged.
- Edit or delete any entry.
- Delete your whole account from Settings, in the Danger zone.
- Turn the weekly summary email on or off in Settings, anytime.
- Email contact@tradacy.com to ask what we hold, or to complain.
Everyone can export their data and delete their account from inside Tradacy. If you are in the EU, UK or California you also have specific rights under your local law, such as access, correction, deletion and portability. Email contact@tradacy.com and we will help.
07 Security
We use sensible measures to protect your data, like encryption in transit, and our database provider encrypts stored data. No system is perfectly safe, so we cannot promise it, but we treat your ledger as private. If a data breach puts your information at serious risk, we will let you know and notify the authorities where the law requires it, as quickly as we reasonably can.
08 Children
Tradacy is for adults, 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child gave us data, email contact@tradacy.com and we will remove it.
09 International
Tradacy is run from the United States and your data is stored there. Some providers we use may process data in other countries. We take steps to protect it when it moves.
10 Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date at the top.
